{Giveaway} BBReview: "Lux Series 5: Opposition" By Jennifer L. Armentrout

Genre: Young Adult: Paranormal/Science Fiction/Fantasy/Romance
Publishing Date: August 5th, 2014
Page Count: 534
Source: Bought from B&N
Format: Paperback

Description from Goodreads.com:
Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.

She can't believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.

They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

A Note from BBR:
I cannot believe the series is over. It's like I'm gonna wake up tomorrow and there will be an announcement from Jennifer that she got us all and there are still more books to come in Katy & Daemon's story. But alas I know that is not going to be the case. I have been putting off writing this review for about a week and a half now and I honestly think it's because once I write this it will officially be over. I'll have to put the book back on the shelf and call it the end.
Garth and Wayne are right. We're not worthy, Jennifer. The lux series was an absolutely awesome one and I will never forget it's amazingness. Lucky for your fans you write a new book a day and we still have plenty of reading material to help us through our Daemon withdrawals.  I think I'm ready for the end now, and the best way to go out is to go out with a bang so at the end of my review you will find a giveaway to enter. Good luck!

Review:
There was so much amazingess packed into one short installment! I honestly didn't know how Jennifer was going to wrap things up, but she did and she did it the best way possible. I don't think I could have asked for a more beautiful and perfect ending. I feel like everything ended the right way and nothing ever felt rushed. I will be honest and say that there is something that happens in the last chapter, like 3 pages before it ends that will utterly kill you. All I have to say is that Jennifer is one cruel lady, but I mean she had to do it. It would have ended too perfectly if it didn't happen.

There is a lot of death and destruction in this book. Which is good and bad. Good, because like I said earlier, "the best way to go out is to go out with a bang" and that's what this book did. At the same time though, its sad when "people" you "know" die off. I was extremely happy to see that JLA ends the series with another book in both Daemon and Katy's point of view. It was perfect to hear both sides till the end.

I am definitely going to miss Katy and Daemon. They were such perfect characters for this series and I couldn't have asked for more from them. These two's persona's and chemistry is what hooked me to this series, plus Katy was a book blogger and you can't ask for a better MC than that. And now that it is over I have even more of an urge to read the rest of the books by JLA and J.Lynn that I haven't already so I can at least basque in her amazing writing style and hopefully become hooked to all her other series.

Overall:
I can't believe it's over! I am so sad and so depressed and don't even know what to do with myself. Lucky for us she writes a new book a day and a new series a week, so my plan is to just buy all her other books and basque in her writing style. I have a very good feeling I will get hooked to at least one, if not all, of her other series. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this series and thought it was beautiful and perfect. There is something big that happens in the last chapter that had me crying, but I mean it couldn't have ended THAT perfectly. I absolutely loved the epilogue and thought it was the cherry on top. I highly recommend that those who had read the other lux books rip the bandaid off and read the last book and highly recommend that those of you who haven't started this series GET ON IT!
