Description from Goodreads.com:
A teen werewolf finally meets her destined soulmate only to discover that he's not quite what she expected in this steamy debut romance.

She's met her mate . . . and he's met his match.

Megan Ross has been waiting her whole life for her mate to come and sweep her off her feet. But the wolf she meets on the beach is NOT the sweet gentle boy she's been dreaming of. Instead, he's a warrior, one whose suffering has led him to lock his heart away in a prison as cold and hard as a diamond, who fights to resist the bond and their deep sexual attraction.

Far from home, with a soulmate who is still a stranger, Megan learns that the path to true love isn't quite as straight and easy as she thought . . .
Review:
I am so happy that I finally got my hands on Bound to You by Alyssa Brandon. I have been waiting to read this book since the ARC's came out. Unfortunately I was not chosen for an ARC so I have been patiently/impatiently waiting for a library in my network to send it to me. Well, the day finally came and I was not disappointed. This book had me hooked from page one and was read in a single sitting. Yes, to me, it was THAT good.

With good always comes some bad so, lets go ahead and get all the bad out of the way. I really, really liked Megan, but when it came to her relationship with James her and I didn't see eye to eye every time. I get that they are mates and with that comes some magic, but when he treats you like garbage I've got a problem. The book is told in alternating points of view so luckily I got to learn more about James and why he is the way he is, but I wasn't ok with how Megan took he treatment. For the most part we learn that she is a strong character and an alpha female, but when it came to James she was so weak. There is a point in the book where Megan misunderstands where their relationship is going and something happens. That is all I will say so that I don't spoil it, but I just have to make note that I was SO not ok with how that all went down. I was disappointed with them both to be honest. I was mad at James, because he knew what Megan wanted and knew what he was doing, but I was also really disappointed in Megan, because she also knew somewhat what James was wanting and went there anyway. I will just say this: I do not agree that sex gets you what you want in a relationship or that it can change someones mind about wanting to be in a relationship with you. It's just so wrong.

I finally rejoiced when Megan got her head out of her ass and decided to treat James the same way he has been treating her, but then at the end it kind of taught the lesson of 'playing hard to get works' and 'if you ignore a guy you'll get him to eat out of your hand'. I agree that she should have ignored him and treated him the same way, but she should have done that from the get-go and she also shouldn't have caved so easily. This bring us to the character of James. Since we do get chapters from his point of view I got to know him and like him a lot more as the book went on, but at the end of the book I wasn't completely in love with him. I just liked him. I am hoping this turns into a series, since we have a LOT of unanswered questions in the end, so I am hoping that I end up loving him in the future.

Alright, that is all the really bad that I have got. The only other thing that disappointed me with this book is all the questions left unanswered. I will be so disappointed if this turns out to be a stand alone, because there is so much we still need to learn. Yes, there were some flaws with this book, but by the end I really, really enjoyed my reading experience. I want to get to know all the characters more and see where they go next. I want to learn all the ins and outs of their world, because we only got a very small glimpse from this book. There were so many unanswered things that kind of do, but don't relate to one another that I know that if this is a series it will be at a minimum of three books if not more. I could see it being five. I secretly hope it's more than three.

Overall:
I really enjoyed reading this book. I am praying to the book gods that this turns into a series. I was left with so many unanswered questions, and unfortunately left with only liking (not loving) James. I need more! I need to know more about these characters, their backgrounds, their futures, and their world. Yes, I did have a few problems with the story (specifically the dynamic of Megan and James' relationship), but overall I really loved the story. I strongly encourage you to try this one out for yourself and to let me know what you thought.
