Description from Goodreads.com:
Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.

There is.

She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.

She's wrong.

Review:
Everything everyone has been saying about how amazing The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is was telling the truth. This story is so gripping and un-put-downable. There is so many twist and turns in this novel as well and as soon as you think you understand what is happening it shifts. The tension that was built up in this novel was also very nicely done. Michelle Hodkin definitely knows how to keep a reader interested and have the unexpected happen.

The characters, I felt, were really well done. I absolutely loved that I didn't know whether or not to like Mara. You don't know what happened to her friends yet so you don't know if she is evil or good. It was definitely very interesting to read a novel where you are fighting with yourself if you should like the main character. I loved the whole idea of not remembering what happened and getting it back in very little confusing pieces. It made the story that much more real and gripping.

The ending was completely out of no where and i loved it. My jaw hit the ground when we finally found out what happened to Mara and what she has realized about herself. I loved that the novel was completely devoted to figuring out what happened that Mara can't remember instead of figuring it out halfway through and then having the rest of the novel dealing with the aftermath of remembering.

I can't say much else, because I don't want to give anything away besides the fact that it is amazing. I was really hoping that the hype was real about how awesome this book is and it definitely was. Go check it out now for yourself.

Overall:
I absolutely loved The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. It was so gripping and thrilling. The tension was built amazingly in this novel and I loved that you read all the way till the end to figure everything out. I was completely enthralled by this novel and could not put it down. I will definitely be reading the next books in this series. Highly recommended to those who love YA.
