Description from Goodreads.com:
Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

Review:
Wow! Are you really surprised that I loved this novel? I mean every single person who has read it (it seems) and their mother who has over heard them talking about it has loved this novel. I had a feeling it was going to be good, because I mean have you seen the hot guy on the cover? LMAO, but it is true there is more hotness underneath the cover.

The number one thing I love about this novel is that I fell in love and was instantly relatable to Katy. How? You might ask. Because Katy is a freakin book blogger! I know I couldn't get over it. And she is a true book blogger, one who gets excited over books in the mail, her #1 thing she wants to do is go to the library, making vlogs, what are you reading mondays, teaser tuesdays, waiting on wednesdays, and everything. I was SO giddy when I read that she was a book blogger. I automatically knew I was going to love her and I did. And then the best thing ever happened... she met Daemon. And I don't mean it was love at first sight, I mean she met him, he was a HUGE jerk, and she dished his crap right back to him every single time. I loved her for it. I was smiling ear to ear almost the entire novel.

The quote at the top of the book says that you will read this book in one sitting. Now sure, people say that about novels all the time, but this novel is 335 pages. This may not be anything to some of you, but just looking at the thickness of this novel was intimidating to me. I finished this novel in two sittings, and that only because I started reading it at like 4am and was too tired to keep going so I had to sleep and then finish as soon as I woke up. It was THAT good. I don't know how people can read this novel at a leisurely pace, you can't. Its impossible. Ok, I am sure it is possible, but you shouldn't do it. lol I don't know what else to say about this novel besides read it. It is seriously amazing and I will reading anything by Jennifer from now on. I didn't think I was going to be into the whole alien thing, but I am now. All those things holding you back from reading this novel, forget about them, and just read it. You won't regret it, and if you do end up regretting you ever picked up this novel you can personally complain to me anytime you want for making you read it.

Overall:
Love, love, LOVE this novel! Obsidian was amazing and definitely my favorite read of the year so far. I put off reading this novel for so long, for no reason at all, and I can't believe I did. I am so happy I finally picked up this novel, because it was amazing. I loved Katy's character the most and I loved that she is a book blogger. It seriously made my day and I am glad that she never took any of Daemon's crap. Trust me, you will not regret picking up this novel. And if you do you can personally complain to me. I recommend this novel to anyone who loves YA and wants a new serious to fall in love with. I will definitely be reading anything by Jennifer from now on =D
