The First Last Boy

Release Date: October 20th 2015
Genre: Adult, Romance, Erotica
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 5/5

Synopsis:
Sex was the plan. Falling in love wasn't.

Eighteen-year-old Montana "Tana" Shaw has a plan for her life and she follows it to the letter. That includes losing her virginity to her best friend, Ryan Collins before she leaves for college. He's wild, tattooed, and oh-so-tempting. She never meant to fall for him. But when Tana learns that Ryan's past is responsible for her family's heartache, she's not sure her heart or their relationship can survive.

Ryan Collins is the foster boy from the wrong side of the tracks. He's scarred, no good, and knows with a past like his that he shouldn't get involved with Tana even if the sparks are hot enough to drive him crazy. But when the past rears its ugly head, he'll become the guy he hates in order to save the girl he loves.

I absolutely loved this book! I seriously could not get enough of Tana and Ryan's story. They are both such amazing characters  who were super relatable, caring, and made the reader create an emotional bond with them. You would think that with Ryan's past he wouldn't be someone you would grow to love, care about, and/or relate to, but he totally was. I was rooting for Ryan to be a man, and finally make the right decisions in his life. I understood the choices he made, but that doesn't mean I liked them. And poor Tana. Ryan was very clear about the rules. Don't fall in love with him. Don't get me wrong, I am so happy that she developed feelings for him, but she should have kept her mouth shut about them for a little while longer. She blurted them out without even thinking about it and then got upset when Ryan didn't reciprocate the right response.

This book definitely had a dark theme to it, and I loved that. It was such an adorable and sexy story, but there was also this darkness from Ryan's past that really spiced up the story. It was definitely an interesting read. I do wish that we could have learned more about Ryan's past, and I also wish the story was longer. I seriously need more. I can tell this will be a series, though, because there were definitely hints of getting to know the other characters more in the future. Some plot lines are definitely set up towards the end and I am really interested in those plot lines.

I highly recommend my readers to try this book. It was adorable in the sense that it is a story about finding true love, but the smut in this book is amazing and tastefully done. I never found myself cringing at the sex scenes and that was something I really enjoyed. I don't think a lot of readers enjoy feeling embarrassed while reading a romantic book. They want to feel whisked away and enjoy the dirty scenes. They are definitely blush worthy, but they aren't hide the book from the world taboo. Overall, super amazing read and I can't wait to read more!
