Do you think you could ever rebel against something that has been drilled into your head your whole life as being the truth? Has this ever happened before?
I don't really know if i could unless there was a lot of evidence to support that what ever has been taught to me is a lie. For instance, Pluto being a planet. That was taught to me my whole life and then now all of a sudden its an escaped moon? For awhile there i refused to believe that was true and still called it a planet, but now I've come to terms with believing that it is not a planet anymore. I guess that means i can't, because when i was first told it was a lie i didn't believe it until time went on and more and more people believed it, which is just the sheep effect, not rebelling.
Are you a rebel? Let me know in the comments below =]
I still believe that Pluto is a planet. I don't care what anyone else says. I remember on The Magic School Bus when they went to Pluto. You can't erase that from your mind.
ReplyDeleteSo, yes, I am a rebel. Lol.
Hi, Becky. How have you been? Sorry I haven't been by in awhile.
ReplyDeleteI'm probably way too conservative to ever claim to be a rebel. The only things that i can think of would be politics and religion. Probably far too heavy for a Monday. ;) I won't reveal either, for the sake of ticking off half of your audience; however, in each case, I went against the grain. My parents shaped me in one direction, but I ended up going the opposite direction. When I speak to my sons about these subjects, I try to explain to them why I think the way I do, but that they need to see whether it seems true to them. I really want my boys to think for themselves.
Thanks for asking.
