Which do you like better, when you guess who the "bad guy" will end up being in the end and are right or when you are completely surprised who the "bad guy" is and didn't find out till the very end?
I, personally, like it when im surprised. Sure, sometimes it does feel good to be right. To take a guess and that end up happening, but it is way more fun when i am completely off guard and didn't see it coming. That to me makes a good story, because then i am racing to the end to find out who the killer, or bad guy, is.
