BBReview: "Prom & Prejudice" By Elizabeth Eulberg

Genre: Young Adult -Contemporary
Publishing Date: January 1st, 2011
Page Count: 231
Source: Borrowed from local library
Format: Hardcover

Description from Amazon:
From the much-buzzed-about author of THE LONELY HEARTS CLUB (already blurbed by Stephenie Meyer, Lauren Myracle, and Jen Calonita), a prom-season delight of Jane Austen proportions.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single girl of high standing at Longbourn Academy must be in want of a prom date.

After winter break, the girls at very prestigious, girls-only Longbourn Academy are obsessed with the prom, which they share with the equally elitist, all-boys Pemberly school. Lizzie Bennett, who attends Longbourn on scholarship, isn't interested in designer dresses and expensive shoes, but her best friend, Jane, might be - especially now that Charles Bingley is back from a semester in London.

Review:
*Sigh* such a cute, fluffy novel. This is the type of book that you read when you just want to read something light and romantic. I picture people reading this on a rainy day or when they are heart broken or just want a change of pace from all the paranormal they have been reading. I loved this novel SO much and found myself imagining scenes from Keira Knightley's Pride & Prejudice while hearing the words from the book. Pride & Prejudice has always been one of my favorite movies and so this book was just breath taking to be able to read something so close to such a beautiful tale, while still keeping me interested, because it was a Young Adult.

I honestly don't have anything that i found wrong with the novel, except that it ended. I wish it would go on forever and that Lizzie and Darcy would of had TONS of romance scenes. I still really, really loved it. I started this book on Wednesday night and expected i would be done no later than Friday night...i read it cover to cover on Wednesday night. I work at a college book store and it is the first week of classes so i got longer hours and more days this weeks and have been BEAT and totally drained so you know it must be a pretty darn good story if it's keep me from my second true love... sleep.

Overall:
This story couldn't have gotten any better. I loved how much it reminded me of Keira Knightley's Pride & Prejudice and was just a super awesome, fluffy, cute book. I would recommend this to anyone who loves YA romance and loves Pride & Prejudice.
